冥王星不再一團糊 NASA3個月後揭密

人們能看見的冥王星最佳樣貌總是一團模糊，但美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）太空船新地平線號（New Horizons）首度近距離飛過這顆矮行星後，將揭開它的神祕面紗。

NASA無人太空船新地平線號預計7月14日飛過冥王星，將送回史上最高解析度影像，讓人們得以仔細一窺冥王星表面。

冥王星曾長久被視為太陽系第9顆行星，也是距離太陽最遠的一顆，但2006年被重新歸為矮行星。

新地平線號任務主要調查員史登（Alan Stern）表示：「這聽起來像科幻小說，但可不是。」

史登昨天告訴記者：「3個月後，NASA太空船新地平線號將首次探勘冥王星系統及所處的科伊伯帶（Kuiper Belt）。這是人類史上距離最遠的探測。」
