雖然美國東北部近日大雪，導致多人喪生和財務損失，美國海洋及大氣署表示，10月全球平均溫度達攝氏14.74度，為歷來10月最高溫，今年可望成為最熱的一年 (迄今均溫為攝氏14.78度)。
